SI joints were pulling on the tailbone

I started experiencing tailbone pain in 2021. I had been suffering with back pain since 2018 when I was just 24 years old. I saw many specialists for my back pain but nothing helped. I also got prolotherapy injections in my low back and SI joints, in 2019, which I now know made my issues much worse as it locked up my ligaments.
I moved from India to Canada in 2019 and didn't see any improvement with chiropractic and physio sessions. It felt as though the back pain was spreading to my knees, shoulders and ankles. I finally ended up having tailbone pain which was the worst of them all. While I did fall down the stairs, the tailbone pain only came 10 months later, so I don't believe the pain was connected to the fall. After checking the specialist list on coccyx.org, I went to Lauren Disenhaus in Toronto, who tried internal adjustments to put the coccyx back in position. This did not help. I then got steroid injections in my coccyx which numbed the pain a bit but did not relieve the discomfort and pain.
I then flew back to India to try ayurvedic massage techniques. When that didn't work, I visited the Tailbone Clinic (Dr. Syeda Mubashira, see Doctors and specialists in India), who again tried internal adjustments along with an exercise regiment. It helped a bit but nothing long lasting. Back in Toronto, I once again tried manual adjustments with another specialist, Leeanna Maher, who really tried to help me. Her treatments helped to bring down the volume of my pain.
What really helped me was visiting Kai Riecken, an Osteopath in Toronto (see Doctors and specialists in Ontario, Canada). He was able to reduce my pain by over 50% in just 3 sessions. He told me the problem was all around my SI joints that were pulling on the tailbone. This is not something any of the other specialists considered. After seeing Kai in 2023, I haven't stopped going to him every month. Every year is better and Kai tells me that prolotherapy really made my recovery last years rather than months. Along with weekly strength training, I feel my tailbone only during long flights and car trips. Kai helped me get back my life back on track and if anyone in Toronto is suffering from non-impact tailbone pain, please visit Kai's clinic. He's very busy but the wait is truly worth it.
