I met with an injury in 2014 due to a sudden fall on my back and impact on the folding armrest (see below). The seat was located inside a van and the vehicle made a sudden move before I have taken my seat. This led forcefully to the impact of my back on the armrest. I had severe pain and just rested on my seat for a while. I took an X-ray and the report was normal. The pain was not felt for 6 months. After 6 months I had severe pain while sitting and doctors advised me for MRI. The MRI report was also normal. After that, I was facing pain only during sitting and I managed by using a doughnut pillow and orthopaedic cushions. I was continuing homoeopathic medicines, Diclofenac anti-inflammatory drug and managed pain until January 2023.

Since January I was facing severe pain while sitting even when I used cushions. Took an X-ray (standing and sitting position) last month, please see the report. I am managing pain by applying ice packs. Now my situation is worse since if I sit even after getting pain, the pain is radiating to my buttocks on both sides and unable to lift up and walk properly. Sometimes the pain will be for 6-8 hours continuously. The pain will be unbeatable if I touch that region and even apply small pressure. I was concerned that I am facing difficulties during walking due to this pain, wondering where this condition will lead to.

I need advice on that should I start steroids or if the condition becomes worst then whether I should go for surgical removal of the coccyx.

Kindly advise, thanks.
