Injections only had temporary effect, manipulation worked

My name is Jerome and I would like to share my story regarding coccyx pain, which started when I was 35. I met numerous specialists in France and most of the time, their recommendation was cortisone injections. The pain is triggered by the unusual curve of my coccyx (L-shape) and long sitting positions. Between 35 and 40, I had 5-6 cortisone injections, which have only temporarily reduced the pain each time.

I then decided to visit Dr. Michael Durtnall from the Sayer Clinics (see Doctors and specialists in the UK, Kensington, London). His approach turned out to be completely different and much more beneficial. Instead of simply recommending injections, Dr. Durtnall took the time needed to understand the problem holistically. Then, his treatment evolved around a series of external mobilizations from posterior, advice on how to sit at the office, recommended exercises to do at home, etc.

My pain more or less disappeared for about 5 years which is the kind of long-term result I never reached before meeting Dr. Durtnall. Now that I am 45, the pain seems to come back. I live in Africa now and I am not able to find the level of expertise that Dr. Durtnall has in the country I live in. I therefore took a chance and wrote an e-mail to Dr Durtnall and the Sayer Clinic (I had not been in touch with them for 5 years). They very quickly replied to me, proposed to send them copies of recent x-rays, analyzed the X-rays, wrote back to me with a detailed message describing their observations AND sent me a personalized video showing the type of coccyx treatment that I should try to get locally ! All this reminding me the basics in terms of exercises and how to sit properly.

I cannot describe how thankful I am and how it feels to be so well supported while living abroad.
