Coccyx pain related to child birth

Dr Michael Durtnall (see Doctors and specialists in the UK, London) has been treating me for coccyx pain related to child birth. I have had 5 sessions so far and I have noticed around 80% improvement in terms of pain. I am sure it will be 100% soon.

I recommend anyone who is suffering from coccyx pain to seek treatment from Dr Durtnall, I am so glad I did.

Unfortunately the pain returned fairly shortly after this review was written. I stopped chiropractic treatment and switched to a women’s health physio instead. My coccyx pain was solved completely with six sessions of treatment from a women’s health physio, Marta De Oliveira. (Note: Marta De Oliveira is on sabbatical 2019 - 2020, and only doing Skype consultations.)

On hindsight I would have started straight away with the women’s health physio now that I understand that the coccyx is connected to the pelvic floor muscles, which are hugely affected by pregnancy and childbirth. Without treatment from a women’s health physio I would still be in considerable pain, but thanks to the treatment I had I have since given birth again with no coccyx pain at all in pregnancy or delivery. I would strongly urge any woman who is suffering from coccyx pain postpartum to seek help from a women’s health physio as soon as possible. I just wish I had known how important it is to get the correct treatment and that so that I could have taken this action sooner.
