My pain came out of nowhere

I have been seeing Michael Durtnall for about 5 weeks now (see Doctors and specialists in the UK, London). I found him through this website after reading positive reviews about coccyx treatment.

My pain started in April of 2016 out of nowhere. I was 21 at the time and working as a makeup artist on a film. I started to feel the pain deep in my coccyx when sitting down to look at the monitor for long periods of time. I didn't think much of it at the time, but it carried on for a month or so. I visited my GP and an osteopath who both made very little effort to find the problem. I kept getting told it was just tension in my lower back and couldn't be my coccyx as I had no recollection of injuring it.

When I finally found Michael I was so relieved. During my consultation I had three X-rays taken and a thorough examination. Everything was explained to me very clearly and I felt validated when it was confirmed to be my coccyx causing me trouble. I now see Michael once a week for both my tail bone and my general posture which has improved greatly. My coccyx is now around 70% better. I'm confident that continued manipulation and appropriate exercises will massively relieve my pain in comparison to what it was when I started. I have hope that it will be eradicated completely! I'm so glad I chose to get treatment at Sayer Clinics sooner rather than later as I've heard stories of people waiting 20 years to seek help. I strongly recommend visiting Michael Durtnall if you're suffering from coccyx pain.

Note from Jon Miles:

I emailed more than a year after this story was posted, to ask for an update, as the long-term outcome of treatment is of great interest. In this case I did not get a reply.
