Very happy to report I am 95% better

I dislocated my coccyx a few years ago but at the time did not know it was dislocated.

After seeing numerous doctors and chiropractors over 2 years who could not sort it out I was beginning to feel desperate as the pain was very bad. I was researching on the internet and came across coccyx.org and the name Dr Durtnall at Sayer Clinic kept coming up (see Doctors and specialists in the UK, London).

I arranged an appointment with him and he took X-rays which showed it was dislocated. Dr Durtnall spent 3 months doing internal manipulation It felt like a race against time because I was moving abroad at the end of the 3 months. I also had massages from Sofia one of the physiotherapists who was so caring. I went to see him as often as I could sometimes up to 4 times a week. It was a huge effort to get up to London that often and once the insurance stopped covering it was a huge cost but I was desperate.

A year on and I am very happy to report that it is 95% better.

I would urge you to see Dr Durtnall if you are suffering with coccyx pain and to do it sooner rather than later. It needed internal manipulation to fix it and the chiropractors and doctors do not do this.

If I hadn't been to see Dr Durtnall I would still be in awful pain and very depressed now.

Thank you to everyone who helped me at Sayer Clinic and Jon Miles for his website.

Note from Jon Miles:

I emailed more than a year after this story was posted, to ask for an update, as the long-term outcome of treatment is of great interest. In this case I did not get a reply.
