I have a hypermobile coccyx (and degloving of the sacrum and painful sacroiliac joints) from falling from 12m directly onto my bum. My coccyx has a hypermobile joint in the middle and the other two joints are stiff. I have tried injections and manipulation but nothing has worked.
I have found a stool called a 'wobble stool' from a shop called Back in Action which was recommended by my consultant. It is triangular and so my seat bones are on the back edge and so my coccyx does not touch anywhere. It is quite tiring but better than anything else I have tried.
My consultant thinks it might get better in another 2-3 years (I have already had it for 2 years) but there is no guarantee.
