Coccyx bone manipulation

Hi, my name is Ferne and I'm 27, I was diagnosed with Coccydynia 18 months ago and I'm in absolute agony!!! Just the thought of sitting down or getting up hurts let alone actually doing it, and just lately its getting worse, even the painkillers I'm prescribed are not working!!!

Thankfully I have a wonderful GP who referred me to a brilliant specialist at the Leicester General Hospital, his name Dr Pathak!!!!!! He gave me the steroid injection without anaesthetic I might add, but it didn't work at all, and now I'm due to have the coccyx bone manipulated under a general anesthetic. If anyone knows the procedure involved in this please let me know, because I haven't got a clue and the thought of it is scaring the hell out of me!!!!!!

But all said and done Dr Pathak is a godsend, if it wasn't for him and his fast and accurate diagnosis and ongoing treatment, I honestly don't know what I would do or how I would cope with this agonising problem, and as I have a 2 year old son who needs his mum to be able to pick him up, carry him etc etc he is my saving grace and I would recommend him to every single sufferer on the planet!!!!!

Again, if anyone knows what's involved in the Coccyx bone manipulation I would be truly grateful to hear from you, thank you for taking the time to read my experience and I hope that everyone out there recovers quickly, Ferne xxx e-mail me at
