I just wanted to contribute to my experience of coccyx pain - which we all know it can be a real "pain in the a**". But the relief and possibly the cure that I found the best was sitting in the "Lotus Position" .
I felt sitting on a soft cushion to being with, helped alleviate the pain. Start slowly and for shorter durations, crossing one leg over the other - each in turn. After repeated attempts you should feel relief and can then try sitting on a firmer surface like a carpet or rug. I got rid of this really annoying if not nagging pain in 48 hours !!
