Surgery 20 years ago

Claudia -

I had surgery 20 years ago, after cortizone shots and lots of pain. I always had pain after that, but not as much as before the surgery...

Then last year I fell right on my BUM!! Something I always feared doing again. And my pain has been horrible again.

I went to an orthopedic. He gave me cortizone, which did not work. He told me I have 3 choices: Sit on a donut, have surgery (supposedly the first doctor did not take out enough), or deal with it. I am tired of dealing with it. It really hurts. In the movies, at church, at work, on a plane, in a car. I also have numinous in my legs and feet when I sit a long time.

Does anyone have any suggestions? Should I bother going through surgery again?

Even since I found this web page, I look at it everyday....

I found a list of spine specialist on this as well, and was wondering if anyone has used Alexander B. de Moura MD. He is located on Long Island in NY.

Thanks. Claudia
