I was told that I would just have to wait 6 months to a year to see if it improves

Hi, my name is Kathi and I am 37 years old. I fell down concrete stairs (12 of them) at work 3 months ago, and broke my tailbone. Needless to say I've been in pain ever since. I live in Washington state and there doesn't seem to be any orthopedic doctors who are qualified to give me any answers. Of course this is an L&I case, and that is almost as bad as being on medical coupons!

I have been seeing a physicians assistant (whom I was told I would have to see from my employer) who has done absolutely nothing to improve my situation. I was told that they don't remove tail bones any more, and that I would just have to wait 6 months to a year to see if it improves. That is easy for them to say, they don't want to give me anymore pain medication, even though I only use very little (I cut my pills in half) just so that I can make them last, it is the only way I can make it through the day.

I have a job (data entry) so I have to sit a lot, and by 5:00 pm, I cant stand it anymore. I feel like my life as I know it has been taken away from me, I cant do anything without creating more pain. The chiropractor has been the only one to help me when the terrible pressure pain comes on. I can't imagine going on like this for another year.

If you or anyone can give me some advice I would surely appreciate it !!!

Thank you ~ Kathi
