Hello everyone,
I think my pain started around one and half going on three years now. It wasn't very painful; maybe a 2 on a scale of 1-10. It was just annoying before, but now if I sit for around 30 minutes in a hard chair I find myself unable to get up again. It's more like a 5 or sometimes 10 at the end of a school day. I used to feel a kind of crunch or pop, but now I don't feel it anymore (I know some have mentioned that here). It feels like I'm sitting on a marble. I use every excuse to get up and relieve the pain like going to bathroom, handing out sheets, etc. It's getting really ridiculous. I also sometimes feel a bit numb around the rear end, too.
I'm 17 and I think I have an idea about when I injured my already prominent coccyx. I had fell down the stairs (stupid slippery Jack Skellington sneakers!!) and kinda fell on my coccyx or butt if you will. The weird thing is that I didn't feel any pain until a long while after my mishap. I've been reading the info on this site and I know I should go see a doctor, but haven't gotten around to it. :o
Well, this site is really helpful. Thanks Mr. Miles for helping others be aware of coccyx problems/coccydynia and for creating this site!! I'm sure everyone here appreciates it!!
