I was in a squatting position cleaning the bottom shelf of a table. I tried to stand up from that position and fell approximately 6-7 inches; not a long fall thank goodness. When I tried again to get up I fell again. I turned to get on my knees and was able to walk that way to lift myself up from a nearby table. I stood up and assumed I had not broken anything. But when I sat down the pain was so severe I actually screamed. Since then I have sharp pain whenever I sit. Taking Tylenol didn't relieve my pain at all. I tried a hot-cold patch with no relief, besides causing mild nausea. I'm not sure where I go from here.
What kind of doctor treats this? I am in Miami Florida down south about an hours drive from Key West. I am 78 years old and in good health otherwise...energetic and happy.
Your help will be greatly appreciated.
