I have recently investigated a painful condition at the base of my spine. The x-rays show that I have an extra long coccyx which curves around and inwards which makes it very painful when I sit on firm chairs. Looking at the x-ray I can count at least nine vertebrae. The doctor doesn't seem too worried nor the Physiotherapist.
Have you heard of anyone having one that long before or is it so unusual. Incidentally, it has not given me much trouble throughout my life until the last year or so. I am 72 years old and in very good health and a little overweight.
I would appreciate your comments or any help you can give me,
Yours Sincerely
Patricia Carlson
