Hi there,
I have been in constant pain for a little over a year now. The pain is the tailbone region and I believe it is do to the coccyx or nerves around that area. This site has been very helpful for me to understand that I am not alone in this situation. The pain is with me all day, everyday. It is hard to sit, stand, walk, lay down, basically nothing I do makes me comfortable.
I take tons of pills, I have tried T3 with codeine, Naproxen, Advil, Tylenol, aspirin, Robaxacet and a few others I forget the name of, none of them relieving pain fully ...of course some will allow me to be a bit more comfortable. I also find myself not wanting to take the pills because I have had so many, I feel my liver will fail or something will happen. But I have to take them everyday, all day regardless.
I had cortisone shots the other day, which I was excited about because it would be a temporary solution to make me comfortable. 3 days went by and still they were not working, so I gave it another 5 days and now 15 days later they did not help one bit ...so I figure they wont now. I have had a CT Scan which showed up fine. I just had a bone scan and hopefully it will show something but I am doubtful.
I sit on a donut at work which does not seem to help much at all. I cannot concentrate at work and miss tons of time due to this. I am 25 years old, used to play sports and enjoy life before this....now all I want to do is lay on the couch which is painful but not as much as everything else. I can not go out to eat, cannot go to the movies, can not go watch a game...I cannot do anything and people have a hard time understanding that.
I currently live in Nova Scotia, Canada. Does anyone know of the doctor here, or close to here, that knows about this type of injury? No-one I speak with seem to know anything. If anyone has any info on this that would be great or any other tips. I am more then willing to try anything at this point.
